Privacy Policy

Snap2Sheet ("we," "us," or "our") operates the web application at snap2sheet.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your Google account name, email address, and profile picture. We store this information in our database to identify your account and manage your session.
We also store basic usage data such as your scan count for the current billing period and the date your account was created.
2. Invoice Images and Financial Data
When you upload an invoice photo, the image is sent to our server for processing. We forward the image to Anthropic's Claude Vision API to extract line-item data (vendor, description, quantity, unit price, total).
We do not permanently store your invoice images or extracted financial data on our servers. After processing:
- Extracted line items are written directly to your own Google Sheets spreadsheet via the Google Sheets API v4.
- Invoice images are uploaded to your own Google Drive for your records via the Google Drive API v3.
- Temporary copies of the image held in server memory during processing are discarded after the upload completes.
3. Google API Scopes
We request the following Google OAuth scopes:
userinfo.emailanduserinfo.profile— to identify your account.spreadsheets— to create and write to your Google Sheets spreadsheet.drive.file— to upload invoice images to your Google Drive. This scope only grants access to files created by Snap2Sheet, not your entire Drive.
You can revoke these permissions at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
4. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie contains an opaque session identifier and expires after 30 days of inactivity. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising cookies.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Snap2Sheet:
- Anthropic Claude Vision API — to extract line items from invoice images. Images are sent to Anthropic for processing. Per Anthropic's API data policy, data sent through their API is not used to train their models.
- Google APIs — for authentication (OAuth 2.0), writing data to your Google Sheets, and storing images in your Google Drive.
- Vercel — hosts our frontend application.
- Fly.io — hosts our backend API server.
6. Data Security
All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Sessions are managed server-side and stored in an encrypted database. We do not store passwords; authentication is handled entirely through Google OAuth.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information (name, email, profile picture) for as long as your account is active. Invoice images and extracted data are not retained on our servers beyond the time required for processing (typically a few seconds). Your extracted data and images reside in your own Google Sheets and Google Drive, which you control.
8. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You can revoke Snap2Sheet's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings.
9. Children's Privacy
Snap2Sheet is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Snap2Sheet after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
